It makes Firefox grind to a halt for a good minute on my machine before or just after rendering the first frame. As soon as is possible, I switch to Low quality. So yes, maybe converting the glow into images would help a lot. After all, that's a lot of numbers, and I know glow effects use a lot of CPU time when I use them in graphics apps.
Yeah I never noticed how bad it was until I went round a mates house and tried to load it up on his computer...completely crashed Firefox! First time I've made a deviation that is just too demanding to run! lol
Yeah I may have a go at tweaking how it functions to see if I can lighten the CPU demand. Just checked the CPU usage when I run it and on average it triples the CPU usage and spikes at 90% when it starts up. I may try your suggestion of converting the Glows to images too see how much that reduces it.
